Welcome to Kaudulla Community Farm!
Kaudulla Community Farm is a sustainable agriculture and environmental restoration initiative located in Sudukanda, Nikawewa, in the Polonnaruwa District of Sri Lanka. The project demonstrates practical, regenerative farming solutions that improve soil health, protect biodiversity, and strengthen rural livelihoods.
Our mission is to promote organic, climate resilient agriculture that supports both people and the planet. Through environmentally responsible farming systems—such as composting, agroforestry, soil regeneration, and water efficient irrigation—we aim to restore degraded land while improving food security for surrounding communities.
The farm also functions as a hands on learning and training space where farmers, youth, women, and school groups can gain practical experience in sustainable agriculture. By sharing knowledge and building community skills, we empower families to adopt farming practices that are healthier, more resilient, and economically sustainable.
Kaudulla Community Farm is proudly implemented by the Sylvia Lanka Foundation (SLF), a nonprofit organisation committed to uplifting rural communities in Sri Lanka through sustainable development, education, and environmental stewardship.
