Kaudulla Community Farm – Sustainable Agriculture for People and Planet
Kaudulla Community Farm is a community-driven environmental and sustainable agriculture initiative in the Polonnaruwa District of Sri Lanka. The project promotes climate-resilient farming, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable food production while supporting rural livelihoods.
Through regenerative agricultural practices such as organic farming, soil restoration, water conservation and biodiversity-friendly cultivation, the farm demonstrates practical solutions for sustainable land management.
The initiative also provides training and opportunities for smallholder farmers, women and young people, strengthening food security and building climate resilience in vulnerable rural communities.
Kaudulla Community Farm is implemented by the Sylvia Lanka Foundation, a charitable organisation working to empower communities and improve lives across Sri Lanka.
